The coaching staffs from Lambert High School, Riverwatch Middle School, and South Forsyth Middle School are inviting you to participate in the Jr. Longhorn Football program.
The Jr. Longhorn program was formed in 2011 as the ONLY feeder program to South Forsyth Middle School, Riverwatch Middle School, and ultimately Lambert High School. Within this program, players will learn the offensive and defensive schemes used at SFMS, RMS, and Lambert. The Jr. Longhorns program is specifically designed to prepare players for middle school and high school football. The training the boys receive in both skill and strength development is critical to their “game readiness” as they enter into middle school as well as high school football.
The Jr. Longhorn program is a member of the GMSAA which is made up of 39 middle school feeder teams across North Georgia. This gives the boys the opportunity to challenge themselves against the same competition that they will ultimately play against at the high school level. The Jr. Longhorns program is made up of 6th , 7th, and 8th grade teams.
As coaches, we cannot emphasize enough the value of participating in the Jr. Longhorns program. The experience the boys gain from the exposure and training that the Jr. Longhorns program offers gives them an enormous advantage against their competition as they enter middle school. This advantage extends not only to their ability to compete against other teams, but also their ability to compete within their own team.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Jr. Longhorns Football program and allowing you to give your son the competitive edge!
